Update

Hey there, sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy with work and everything else going on lately. I have also begun to design my own website layout from scratch for the first time, so it is taking some time but I think it is coming along well (you can check it out at ). Anyways, I plan to start actually posting about music again soon so check back often! Cya.

Will Hoge "Love From A Scar"

I recently heard about an artist by the name of Will Hoge. He just released a new live LP called Again Somewhere Tomorrow. He is the epitome of a rock musician with a gritty sound and a free spirit. Check out more of his music at his Virb page and the song at his MySpace page.

Andy Davis "Good Life"

Wow, I just heard of this new artist yesterday and am already a huge fan. He has a great sound and also has a song all about Chicago! It's nice to hear him sing about places all around where I live. The song called "Chicago, City of Shoulders" can be found on his MySpace page but his newer song "Good Life" can be found on Virb, which is much better for finding and listening to good music than MySpace. I don't really know who to compare him to, but just take a listen and make up your own mind! I'll post again on Monday, have a great weekend.

Ray LaMontagne "You Can Bring Me Flowers"

From his latest album Till The Sun Turns Black, "You Can Bring Me Flowers" is a great introduction to the rough acoustic sound of Ray LaMontagne. Ray's music is a mixture of heavy blues and folk acoustic that is really moving to listen to. Check it out at MySpace.

Join Virb

If you haven't heard about Virb its a new social site like MySpace except it is easier to use (a lot less creepy) and also is great for artists/groups to showcase their music. Make sure to check it out and also add me as a contact!

Paolo Nutini "New Shoes"

Paolo Nutini sounds older than his years on his debut album These Streets. This young Scottish singer/songwriter was influenced by such diverse artists as John Martyn, Van Morrison, Ray Charles and The Drifters, who is playing sold-out headline shows across the UK based on positive word-of-mouth and press support. Stand out tracks include 'Jenny Don't Be Hasty', 'Last Request' and 'New Shoes'. As always, check out his MySpace page to hear what he's all about.

The Shins "Phantom Limb"

The Shins new album "Wincing The Night Away" is one of my favorite new albums. There sound is very unique and makes me want to move to California, surf all day and listen to their music. Anyways, enjoy the music and let me know if you have any requests or recommendations for new artists. You can just email me. Thanks!
